Fry Sauce
Description
This simple sauce combines equal parts mayonnaise and ketchup, enhanced by the crunch and tang of finely minced dill pickles or relish. Apple cider vinegar adds acidity to balance richness, while yellow mustard, black pepper, sugar, and a dash of fine sea salt round out the flavor profile. Whisking or blending these ingredients until uniform creates a smooth dipping sauce.
Fry Sauce serves well alongside fried potatoes, burgers, sandwiches, and other casual dishes, lending a creamy and flavorful contrast to savory foods. It can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
Variations include adding onion or garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, jalapeños, or bacon bits to customize heat and depth.
