Garlic Butter Lobster Skillet
Description
Garlic Butter Lobster Skillet begins by melting butter in a pan and softening minced garlic and shallots to release their aromas. Adding dry white wine and increasing heat reduces the sauce slightly before incorporating lobster meat, lemon zest, and chopped fresh tarragon. The lobster is cooked just until hot and the sauce thickens, ensuring tenderness and flavor retention.
This dish balances the richness of butter with bright lemon zest and the sweet earthiness of tarragon, complementing the lobster's natural sweetness. It can be served as a main course or over pasta or rice for a complete meal. The quick pan-cooking method highlights the freshness and delicacy of the shellfish without overpowering it.
Ingredients
- 1 lb lobster meat can be uncooked or cooked
- 1 teaspoons sea salt Celtic variety
- 6 tablespoons butter divided in half, unsalted
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 shallot about 4 tbsp, minced, large
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- ¼ cup white wine dry
- 1 tablespoon tarragon chopped, fresh
Instructions
- In a large pan, melt 6 tbsp butter on medium heat.
- Add in garlic and shallots, stirring occasionally, until fragrant and soft - about 4 minutes.
- Stir in wine and increase heat to high.
- Stir in lobster meat and top with lemon zest, and tarragon.
- Cook to piping hot and sauce is reduced, about 5 minutes. If you are using raw lobster it will cook in this time. Season with sea salt and enjoy!
