Garlic Butter Mushrooms

Garlic Butter Mushrooms are sautéed cremini mushrooms cooked in butter and olive oil with minced garlic and seasoned with salt, pepper, and fresh Italian parsley. They develop caramelized edges with tender interiors and a rich, savory flavor enhanced by garlic and butter. This simple side dish complements many meals and showcases mushrooms’ earthy taste elevated by the buttery garlic sauce.

Description

This recipe uses quartered cremini or baby Bella mushrooms tossed with olive oil, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Butter is melted in a skillet, and garlic is briefly sautéed to release its aroma before the mushrooms are added. The mushrooms are cooked over medium heat, stirred every couple of minutes to encourage even caramelization on the edges while keeping the inside tender.

The cooking process yields a rich, savory dish with garlic-infused butter coating the mushrooms. A finishing sprinkle of chopped Italian parsley adds a fresh herbal note and color contrast. This side works well alongside meats, poultry, or as part of a vegetable medley.
