Garlic Butter Pork Tenderloin
Description
Garlic Butter Pork Tenderloin offers a simple yet flavorful way to prepare pork tenderloin. The meat is seasoned simply with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs, which complement the garlic and butter flavors used for searing. Searing the tenderloin in garlic butter creates a flavorful browned crust that enhances the texture. Baking the seared tenderloins finishes cooking them to a tender, medium-rare or medium doneness, depending on preference. The process balances a rich buttery garlic coating with the tenderness of the pork.
The method involves first seasoning the meat thoroughly, searing it in a skillet with melted butter mixed with minced garlic to infuse flavor, and then transferring the meat to the oven to cook through while retaining moisture.
Ingredients
- 2 pork tenderloin
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 5 teaspoons garlic about 5 cloves, minced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Season the 2 pork tenderloins with 2 teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon black pepper and then sprinkle with 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Melt 4 tablespoons butter and add in 5 teaspoons minced garlic. Stir 1 minute.
- Sear pork tenderloin in the butter until all sides are browned. Transfer to an oven safe dish and bake in the oven 10 to 15 minutes, or until pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (medium rare) or 160 degrees F (medium).
