Garlic Butter Roasted Pork Tenderloin
Description
This recipe starts with a 1 ½ pound pork tenderloin patted dry and pierced with a fork to help the garlic butter season deeply. The garlic butter consists of softened butter mixed with minced garlic, garlic powder, and dried herbs such as Herbs de Provence or Italian blends. Salting and peppering the pork before applying half the butter mixture allows the flavors to build beneath the crust.
Roasting at a high temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit creates a browned exterior while maintaining a tender texture internally, reaching the safe 145-degree mark. Resting the meat twice, first after roasting and then after applying the remaining garlic butter, lets juices redistribute and enhances richness. The finish is a flavorful, juicy pork roast with gentle herb and garlic notes.
Pair this roasted tenderloin with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a balanced meal. The garlic butter can be spiced up or adapted with different herbs for variation.
If you prefer a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes to the garlic butter before rubbing onto the pork.
