This garlic butter is versatile as a finishing sauce on grilled meats, steamed vegetables, shellfish, or as a dipping sauce for bread. Its bright lemon zest gives it a subtle acidity that contrasts the rich butter while parsley adds an herbal freshness.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup clarified butter unsalted
- 4-5 cloves garlic ,minced
- 1 tablespoon flat leaf parsley ,roughly chopped
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt coarse
Instructions
- Melt the 1/2 cup unsalted clarified butter* in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Add the minced 4-5 cloves garlic, 1 tablespoon flat leaf parsley,2 teaspoons lemon zest and the 1/4 teaspoon coarse kosher salt. Stir to combine and heat for an additional 1-2 minutes, then remove from the heat and set aside. Butter will harden if it gets too cool, simply reheat until melted.
