Garlic Butter Shrimp
Description
Garlic Butter Shrimp begins by seasoning the shrimp with lemon zest, salt, and pepper before sautéing briefly in olive oil over medium-high heat. After flipping, a softened butter mixture with minced garlic and lemon juice is added to the pan, cooking the shrimp through while letting the butter meld with the garlic and citrus flavors.
The dish finishes with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and serving alongside lemon wedges to add a refreshing tang. The quick cooking ensures the shrimp stay juicy and tender without becoming rubbery. The garlic butter sauce lightly coats each shrimp for richness without overpowering the natural seafood flavor.
It's recommended to prepare ingredients ahead due to the short cooking time. The recipe cautions against overcooking the shrimp and suggests optionally adding heavy cream to the butter for a creamy variation. If incorporating vegetables, pre-cook them as the shrimp cook very quickly.
