Garlic Butter Steak Bites
Description
Garlic Butter Steak Bites feature bite-size sirloin steak pieces seasoned simply with salt and pepper, seared in a hot skillet with avocado oil to achieve a caramelized exterior. The addition of butter and minced garlic during the final minute of cooking infuses the steak with rich, fragrant buttery garlic flavor while retaining moisture within the meat. Fresh parsley adds a subtle herbal note at the end. The method of cooking in a single pan allows for an easy, hands-on preparation that yields steak bites with nicely browned edges and juicy centers.
The steak bites can be served on their own as a protein-rich appetizer or part of a main course, pairing well with vegetables, rice, or bread to soak up the buttery garlic sauce. They are best enjoyed right after cooking to maintain the tender texture and avoid overcooking.
Cooked steak bites can be stored covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat gently to retain tenderness and flavor. This recipe works well with sirloin but can be adapted with other tender steak cuts cut into equal-sized pieces.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak cut into 1-inch bite sized pieces
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon parsley chopped, fresh
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper.
- Add the steak cubes to the skillet and cook on one side undisturbed until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Flip them over and cook on the other side for 3 more minutes.
- Add the butter and garlic and continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the garlic is lightly golden and fragrant, about 1 more minute.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Store cooked steak bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
- Freeze leftover steak bites for up to 3 months to preserve their flavor and texture.
- Reheat gently to avoid drying out the steak pieces.
