Garlic Butter Steak Bites
Description
Garlic Butter Steak Bites highlight sirloin steak cut into small pieces seasoned simply with salt, pepper, and rosemary. Cooking the steak in a hot skillet without overcrowding allows a caramelized crust to form, locking in juices. After searing, the steak is coated in a garlic-infused butter sauce enriched with fresh parsley, adding brightness and depth. The garlic butter melds with the beef for a rich, savory finish.
The texture contrasts between the crispy seared exterior and juicy interior of the steak pieces create a satisfying bite. Cooking in batches if necessary prevents steaming and preserves the crust.
Serve these steak bites immediately while warm, alone or alongside sides like roasted vegetables or a salad. They offer a flavorful and concentrated beef dish suitable for casual meals or sharing.
Using vegetable oil instead of olive oil helps reach higher cooking temperatures without smoking. Adjust seasoning as desired before serving for balanced flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak or strip loin or ribeye
- salt or steak spice, to taste
- black pepper or steak spice, to taste
- 1 teaspoon rosemary or ½ teaspoon dried rosemary, fresh
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or as needed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon parsley chopped, fresh
Instructions
- Cut steak into bite-sized pieces. Toss with salt, pepper, and fresh rosemary.
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
- Add steak in a single layer and cook 2-3 minutes without stirring to get a crust on one side. Stir and cook 1 minute more. Do not overcook.
- Remove from heat and place on a plate. Reduce heat in the skillet to medium.
- Add butter and garlic, cook 1 minute until fragrant. Add steak and parsley. Toss to combine.
- Remove from the pan immediately, season with salt if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Cook steak bites in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan, which helps achieve a good crust.
- Use vegetable oil for a higher smoke point compared to olive oil.
