Garlic Chili Edamame

Garlic Chili Edamame combines steamed precooked edamame with a spicy sauce made from sautéed garlic, sesame oil, chili paste, mayonnaise, and soy sauce. Tossed in this flavorful mixture and finished with sea salt flakes, the edamame makes a warm, savory snack with a balance of heat and umami.

Description

This Garlic Chili Edamame recipe begins by sautéing minced garlic in sesame oil until golden brown, then cooling the mixture. A sauce is created by combining the garlic oil with chili paste, mayonnaise, and soy sauce, providing layers of heat, creaminess, and saltiness. Precooked edamame is quickly steamed, then tossed in the prepared sauce and seasoned with sea salt flakes, enhancing the natural fresh taste and adding a crunchy finish.

The dish is served warm, showcasing a mix of tender edamame pods coated in a spicy, garlicky glaze that complements their slight sweetness and bite size texture. This preparation makes a flavorful appetizer or snack that can be prepared quickly using pre-cooked edamame and common pantry ingredients.
