  • 6 chicken thigh bone-in skin-in
  • 6-8 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter divided, salted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar lightly packed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp oregano dried
  • salt to season chicken
  • black pepper to season chicken
  • parsley chopped, to garnish, fresh

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. In a large sauté pan melt 2 tablespoons of butter on medium high heat. Sear chicken by adding it to pan and cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side and set aside.
  4. Add remaining butter to pan and turn heat down to medium and then add the garlic and sauté about 1-2 minutes. Add honey, brown sugar, oregano, garlic, and onion powder and stir until sauce is all well combined. Remove pan from heat.
  5. Return chicken (skin side up) to the pan. Give chicken a quick baste with the sauce, and add whole pan to oven to roast for 25-30 minutes until chicken is cooked through (internal temp of 165 degrees F).
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
