Garlic Parmesan Biscuits

Garlic Parmesan Biscuits are made by cutting canned or homemade biscuit dough into pieces, tossing them with a garlic butter mixture, parsley, and cheeses, then baking them in a muffin tin until golden and melted together. The combination of garlic powder, Parmesan, and mozzarella creates a savory, cheesy bite with a tender yet slightly crispy texture. These pull-apart biscuit muffins are ideal for sharing and complement a variety of meals.

Description

This recipe uses pre-made biscuit dough, cut into smaller pieces, then mixed with melted butter, garlic powder, herbs, and a combination of Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. These pieces are divided into greased muffin cups and baked until golden and bubbling, producing bite-sized muffins that join together in clusters yet can be pulled apart easily.

The garlic butter mixture infuses each biscuit piece with flavor, while the melted cheeses add richness and a gentle stretchiness inside. Baking in a muffin tin helps shape them uniformly and ensures a nicely browned outside with a soft interior.

These garlic Parmesan biscuits serve well as a side to soups, salads, or main dishes, adding an appetizing cheesy and garlicky note. Letting them cool slightly in the pan allows the cheese to set, helping each biscuit hold its shape when removed from the muffin tin.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 (16.3 ounce each) can Biscuits or homemade, refrigerated
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley, chopped, fresh
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese shredded
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Generously grease wells in a muffin tin.
  2. Combine melted butter and garlic powder.
  3. Cut each biscuit into 6 pieces and place in a large bowl. Toss with garlic butter mixture, parsley, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella.
  4. Divide biscuit pieces over 6 muffin wells and bake 11 to 13 minutes or until browned.
  5. Let cool in muffin pan for 5 minutes. Run a butter knife along the edges of each well to release the biscuits.

Notes

  • Allow biscuits to cool in the muffin pan for 5 minutes after baking so the cheese firms up and helps them hold together.
  • Any biscuit variety totaling 16 ounces works for this recipe.
  • Homemade biscuit dough can be used if preferred, not just canned.
  • The recipe can be doubled to make 12 biscuits if more servings are needed.
