Garlic Prawn Noodles

Report
Garlic Prawn Noodles feature king prawns cooked briefly with crushed garlic in sesame oil, combined with straight-to-wok noodles and served over Asian slaw. The dish highlights the balance of gentle garlic flavor, tender prawns, and the crisp freshness of slaw in a simple, quick meal.

Description

This recipe starts by mixing prawns with crushed garlic and sesame oil, then quickly cooking the mixture in a hot pan to preserve the prawns' tenderness and impart a subtle garlic aroma. Straight-to-wok noodles are added and cooked briefly to heat through and absorb some flavor.

The cooked prawns and noodles are served over portions of Asian slaw, which adds crisp texture and freshness that contrast with the soft noodles and prawns. The overall texture combination gives a pleasing balance between warm, tender, and crunchy elements.

The dish is straightforward, relying on minimal seasoning and quick cooking to showcase the natural flavors. It's suitable for a light lunch or dinner and can be customized with additional chili sauce or protein alternatives.

The included notes suggest adding chili sauce like sriracha for heat and substituting prawns with chicken or tofu with adjustments to cooking times. If Asian slaw is unavailable, shredding and briefly frying other vegetables is a practical alternative.
