Garlic Stuffed Mushrooms

Garlic Stuffed Mushrooms are made by filling button mushrooms with a blend of butter, minced garlic, fresh parsley, and cheddar cheese. The mushrooms bake until tender with a savory, cheesy, and garlicky filling, offering a warm appetizer or side with balance between soft mushroom and flavorful stuffing.

Description

This recipe involves cleaning and removing stems from 20 button mushrooms, then seasoning each mushroom cap with salt and pepper. A filling composed of butter at room temperature, minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated cheddar cheese, and black pepper is prepared and spooned into each mushroom's cavity. Baking at 375°F for 15 minutes softens the mushrooms and melts the cheese, forming a flavorful, moist filling.

The final texture pairs the tender mushroom with a rich, aromatic, and slightly creamy center—it can be served warm or cold depending on preference.

To ensure cleanliness, wipe mushrooms with a damp cloth or peel the outer layer rather than rinsing. The quantity of stuffing can be adjusted based on mushroom size for optimal filling. This simple yet flavorful preparation suits appetizers or side dishes well.
