Giblet Gravy Recipe
Description
This Giblet Gravy recipe uses turkey giblets and neck simmered in chicken broth and water until fully cooked, infusing the liquid with a concentrated poultry flavor. Butter and cream of chicken soup are added to thicken and enrich the gravy, providing a creamy consistency and savory base.
After cooking, the meat is removed from the neck, and giblets along with a finely chopped hard-boiled egg are incorporated back into the gravy, adding texture and body. Simmering the combined ingredients ensures the flavors meld and the gravy heats through evenly.
The finished gravy is traditionally served over dressing or stuffing, complementing roasted turkey meals by contributing moisture and depth. It offers a comforting, classic accompaniment for holiday or special occasion dinners.
The recipe allows for seasoning adjustments with additional salt, pepper, or poultry spices, and can be prepared ahead and refrigerated for up to three days, then reheated gently before serving.
