Ingredients
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 6-8 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Place powdered sugar in a bowl.
- Add the vanilla and melted butter.
- Add the milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the glaze is the consistency you want.

- As with any icing, always wait for the dessert to cool completely before adding the glaze.
- I add vanilla extract to my glaze icing recipe; however, you could easily swap this out for another flavored extract.
- Using slightly warm milk (just 10-15 seconds in the microwave) helps the glaze mix more smoothly and reduces the chance of lumps forming.
- Make sure the butter isn't too hot when you add it to the powdered sugar. Let it cool slightly so it doesn't "cook" the sugar and create lumps.
