Ingredients

  • 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • cup canned pumpkin not pumpkin pie mix
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice

Glaze

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Get out and measure your ingredients.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. In large bowl, beat cream cheese, softened butter and pumpkin with electric mixer until well blended.
  4. Beat in egg until smooth.
  5. Beat in cake mix and pumpkin pie spice until combined.
  6. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
  8. Cool on cookie sheet 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. In medium bowl, mix the powdered sugar, vanilla and 1 tablespoon of water together. Beat glaze ingredients with spoon until smooth and thick. Add more water little by little if too thick.
  11. Spread about 2 teaspoons frosting on each cookie.
  12. Sprinkle a little cinnamon on each one for decoration if desired. Enjoy every bite!
