  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 4 egg
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup walnuts chopped

Glaze:

  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ cup walnuts chopped, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Generously grease and flour a bundt pan. (can also use a 9x13)
  2. In a large mixing bowl, using a hand or stand mixer, whisk the 1 cup softened butter and 2 ½ cups granulated sugar until light and creamy. Add the 4 eggs one at a time mixing well between each egg.
  3. Mix the 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour and 2 teaspoons baking powder together. Add the flour mixture and 1 cup milk to the butter mixture alternating the flour and milk as you mix. Fold in ½ cup chopped walnuts.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool.
  5. make the glaze by whisking together the ¼ cup melted butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 2 tablespoons milk. Drizzle on top of cooled cake and top with ½ cup chopped walnuts for topping.
