Description

The Greek Layer Dip builds on hummus spread thinly as the base on a serving platter, topped with a layer of tzatziki covering most of the hummus but leaving a border. Chopped Roma tomatoes, diced cucumber, sliced pepperoncini, kalamata olives, green onions, and crumbled feta cheese are layered sequentially, each leaving a slight border to expose the layers below. A mix of extra virgin olive oil and Greek seasoning is drizzled on top, allowing flavors to mingle and drip slightly over the edges. Chilling the dip for up to three hours before serving allows the ingredients to meld and maintain freshness. This dip offers a combination of creamy, tangy, crisp, and salty elements with Mediterranean ingredients, ideal served alongside pita chips or fresh vegetable sticks.

  • 10 oz hummus original flavor, prepared
  • 5 oz tzatziki
  • 1-2 Roma tomato chopped
  • 1/2 cucumber chopped
  • 5-6 Pepperoncini peppers sliced
  • 1/4 cup kalamata olives sliced
  • 3 green onions chopped
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese crumbled
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp Greek seasoning

Instructions

  1. On a mostly flat platter or plate, spread the entire container of hummus out in a thin layer. Then spread about half of the container of tzatziki in a think layer on top of the hummus leaving about a 1/2 inch border of hummus.
  2. Next layer on the tomatoes, cucumbers, peperonchini peppers, olives, green onions, and feta cheese leaving a small border on each layer.
  3. Mix the olive oil and seasoning together then drizzle over the top of the dip letting it drip down the sides and settle on the hummus.
  4. Chill for up to 3 hours. Serve with pita chips, pita bread triangles, cucumber slices, bell pepper strips, etc. ENJOY!

Notes

  • This dip is best served fresh but can be chilled up to 3 hours in advance for flavor melding.
  • Serve with pita chips, pita triangles, cucumber slices, or bell pepper strips for variety in dipping.
