Greek Loaded Fries

Greek Loaded Fries are roasted or air-fried potato fries seasoned with paprika, garlic, onion powder, cumin, and ginger, offering a spiced yet balanced flavor. They are topped with diced fresh tomato, creamy tzatziki, and crumbled feta cheese to create a dish that blends crispy textures with bright, savory Mediterranean toppings. The fries can be baked or air-fried for convenience and crispness.

Description

This recipe uses whole potatoes cut into fries and soaked in ice water to remove excess starch, which helps achieve a crispier texture when cooked. After drying, the fries are tossed in olive oil and a mix of warm spices — paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and a pinch of ginger — providing a balanced and aromatic seasoning.

The fries are cooked either in the oven or air fryer until golden and crisp, with instructions to turn them midway to ensure even cooking. Once cooked, the fries are topped immediately with crumbled feta cheese, fresh diced tomato, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce, which adds creaminess and tang to the dish. This combination provides a satisfying contrast between the seasoned, crispy fries and the cooling Mediterranean toppings.

Serving the fries right away is recommended to maintain their texture and flavor. They offer a savory side or snack inspired by Greek flavors, with a complex seasoning profile that enhances the potatoes.

For best results, cut the potatoes uniformly and soak them as instructed. Preheating the cooking device is important for consistent crispiness, and cooking in batches may be necessary for air fryers. Blue Plan SmartPoints value is about 10 per serving according to the notes.
