Greek Meatballs with Tzatziki Sauce

Greek Meatballs with Tzatziki Sauce combine seasoned ground beef mixed with herbs, spices, and feta cheese baked until golden, served alongside a creamy cucumber-yogurt sauce. The meatballs are moist and flavorful, with a bright, fresh complement from the tangy tzatziki.

Description

The meatballs blend lean ground beef with panko breadcrumbs, parsley, grated onion and garlic, lemon zest and juice, egg, and spices including oregano, coriander, cumin, and cinnamon. Feta cheese adds a salty creaminess. Formed into tablespoon-sized meatballs, they bake at a high temperature until golden brown.

The accompanying tzatziki sauce mixes shredded, squeezed cucumber with Greek yogurt, lemon juice, fresh dill, garlic, salt, and pepper. This sauce provides a cooling, herbaceous counterpoint to the warm spiced meatballs, enhancing the dish’s balance and freshness.

This recipe is suited for serving as an appetizer or part of a main course and benefits from baking instead of frying to keep textures tender and clean up easy.
