Greek Salad Dressing
Description
This Greek Salad Dressing combines olive oil with acidic elements—red wine vinegar and fresh lemon juice—alongside minced garlic and Dijon mustard for emulsification. Dried oregano adds herbal notes, while salt and black pepper season it. The preparation involves whisking all ingredients together by hand or shaking them in a jar, resulting in a well-blended dressing with balanced tang and richness. The lemon juice's freshness complements vinegar's sharpness, while the oregano provides Mediterranean flavor. Refrigeration maintains freshness and separation is remedied by whisking or shaking before use. It pairs well with traditional Greek salads and can enhance other vegetable dishes.
