Green bean casserole is an institution in the US, especially during Thanksgiving. This easy to make recipe was indeed born in the 50s.

Ingredients
- 2 (10¾ oz.) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup Campbell’s® brand, includes 98% fat free
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper ground
- 8 cups Green bean fresh
- 2⅔ cups French fried onions
Instructions
- Boil fresh green beans for 10 minutes.
- Stir the soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, beans and half of the onions in a 3-quart (3l) casserole.
- Bake at 350F/180C for 25 minutes or until the bean mixture is hot and bubbling.
- Stir the bean mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining onions.
- Bake for 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.
