Grilled Bacon Wrapped Chicken Recipe

Report
Grilled Bacon Wrapped Chicken features chicken breasts wrapped in overlapping bacon strips and basted with a marinade combining brown sugar, soy sauce, oil, and spices. Cooking over hot outdoor grill heat caramelizes the bacon and seals in the meat's moisture, resulting in a flavorful, tender chicken with a balance of sweet, savory, and smoky tones.

Description

This recipe involves wrapping chicken breasts with strips of bacon, then brushing them with a marinade made from brown sugar, soy sauce, vegetable oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and cinnamon. The combination of sugar and soy sauce creates a sweet-savory glaze that caramelizes on the grill. Wrapping the chicken in bacon adds fat and smoke flavor that keeps the chicken moist during grilling.

Cooking the wrapped chicken over the grill until an internal temperature of 165°F ensures it is safe and juicy. Frequent basting with marinade deepens flavor and contributes to a glossy finish. The contrast of crisp bacon and tender chicken provides pleasing texture variation, suitable as a main dish for casual meals.

Using chicken breast tenderloins instead of full breasts can make smaller portions ideal for children and quick grilling sessions.
