Grilled Corn in Foil
Description
This recipe involves placing individual ears of corn on foil sheets, drizzling them with olive oil, seasoning with salt and black pepper, and topping each with a pat of butter. The foil is then sealed around the corn to hold in moisture. Grilling the wrapped corn at a high temperature of 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes cooks the kernels through while preserving their juiciness.
Rotating the corn during grilling promotes even cooking and prevents burning. The result is corn that is tender and infused with the flavor of butter and seasoning, with subtle smokiness imparted by the grill. The use of foil makes the cooking process straightforward and helps retain moisture.
This method suits outdoor grilling occasions and makes a simple side to accompany barbecued meats or other grilled fare.
