Grilled Corn on the Cob
Description
This recipe starts with fresh shucked ears of corn coated evenly with olive oil and seasoned with salt and black pepper. Each ear is individually wrapped in foil to retain heat and moisture during grilling. Cooking over medium heat for about 20 minutes, turning occasionally, ensures the kernels soften evenly without drying out.
Once grilled and cooled slightly, the foil is carefully removed to reveal tender corn that maintains its crispness and natural sweetness with a gentle smoky undertone from the grill. The light seasoning and olive oil allow the flavor of the corn to shine, enhanced further by serving with butter if desired.
While this recipe focuses on outdoor grilling, the instructions also note the option to bake the wrapped corn in a 400°F oven for 20 to 30 minutes until the desired tenderness is reached, making it versatile for indoor cooking.
Ingredients
- 6 corn on the cob shucked, fresh
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
