Grilled Green Beans

Report
These Grilled Green Beans are seasoned with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then cooked in a foil packet over direct heat on a grill until tender. The foil packet method keeps the beans moist and infused with seasoning, producing flavorful and tender green beans suitable as a side dish.

Description

Fresh green beans are washed, trimmed, and placed in a foil packet with olive oil and seasonings. Sealing the packet traps steam and heat, gently cooking the beans while allowing them to char slightly from direct grill exposure. The grill temperature is set to 400°F for optimal cooking.

Cooking for 5-8 minutes per side develops tenderness without losing the beans’ bright green color and slight snap. Removing the beans from the packet immediately after cooking prevents overcooking and maintains texture.

If grilling is not available, the same foil pack can be baked in an oven at 400°F for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, to achieve comparable results.

Leftover green beans store well in an airtight container refrigerated up to five days, ready for reheating or cold use.
