Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 lb. asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon italian herb blend Litehouse®, fresh dried
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper ground

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  2. While grill is preheating, cut 1-inch off the ends of the asparagus. Rinse under cold water and pat dry. Place the asparagus on a baking sheet, and drizzle the extra virgin olive oil. Then, sprinkle on the dried Italian Herb Blend, kosher salt, and ground black pepper. Using your hands, massage the seasoning into the asparagus.
  3. Reduce the heat to low on the grill. Clean the grill, and spray cooking spray on the grill grates. Carefully, add the asparagus spears onto the grill. Close the lid and cook for five minutes. *Turn the asparagus halfway through cooking to avoid burning.
  4. Carefully, remove the asparagus spears from the grill and place on a platter. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Litehouse® Fresh Dried Italian Herb Blend
  • Pro Tip - Grill the asparagus ahead of time before you entertain. Chill the cooked asparagus in the refrigerator and add to a charcuterie board for a fun healthy twist.
  • Asparagus Serving Size - The average asparagus serving size is about 3 oz. or about a ½ cup chopped.
  • Italian Seasoning - If you can't find the Litehouse® Fresh Dried Italian Herb Blend don't worry. You can substitute it out for Italian Seasoning.
