Grilled Lamb Chops Recipe
Description
This recipe starts with marinating lamb chops in a mixture of olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped cilantro, dried oregano, and seven spice seasoning. After 30 minutes to two hours of marinade time, the chops are brought to room temperature, seasoned with kosher salt, and grilled over medium-high heat.
Grilling for about 3 minutes per side results in medium doneness, maintaining tenderness and juiciness. Cooking longer to medium well may toughen the meat slightly. Using freshly ground black pepper and the citrus-herb marinade enhances flavor while keeping the lamb aromatic and balanced.
Grilled lamb chops make a satisfying main dish suitable for casual grilling meals or special occasions. They pair well with grilled vegetables, salads, or starches such as potatoes or rice.
The recipe notes that lamb chops can be frozen in the marinade for up to 3 months. Thawing in the fridge overnight before grilling is recommended for best results. Homemade or store-bought seven spice blends are acceptable to customize the flavor profile.
