Grilled Mushrooms

Grilled Mushrooms are button mushrooms brushed with olive oil, grilled until tender and browned, then finished with a garlic parsley butter. The result is a savory side or appetizer with earthy flavor and a buttery herb finish that enhances the mushrooms’ natural texture.

Description

This Grilled Mushrooms recipe features whole button mushrooms threaded onto skewers for easy handling over medium-high heat. They are brushed lightly with olive oil and seasoned simply with salt and pepper before grilling. Cooking for 4-5 minutes per side allows the mushrooms to soften and develop a slight char and rich savoriness.

A garlic butter made by melting butter and stirring in minced garlic and parsley is brushed onto the grilled mushrooms just before serving. This adds an aromatic, fresh complement that balances the mushrooms’ earthiness. The skewered form makes them convenient for cookouts or as part of a vegetable side dish.

The mushrooms can also be prepared indoors under a broiler with similar timing and results, making this recipe flexible for different cooking setups.
