Grilled Pork Teriyaki

Grilled Pork Teriyaki consists of pork tenderloin slices marinated in thick teriyaki sauce with sliced onions, offering a sweet and savory grilled flavor. The pork medallions are pounded thin for even grilling and finished with optional sesame seeds and green onions. The grilled onions add a soft, caramelized element that pairs well with the juicy meat.

Description

This recipe calls for pork tenderloin cut into medallions, pounded to about half an inch thick to ensure quick and even cooking. The pork is marinated for several hours in thick teriyaki sauce alongside sliced onions, infusing the meat with a balanced combination of sweet, salty, and umami flavors typical of teriyaki glaze. The marinade tenderizes the pork while adding moisture.

Grilling over high heat sears the pork quickly, resulting in a browned exterior with a tender, juicy interior. Optional grilled onions add a softened, slightly sweet contrast. Once cooked, sprinkling the pork with sesame seeds and fresh green onions introduces a nutty crunch and fresh herbal note, enhancing both texture and presentation.

These pork medallions can be served on toasted rolls with green onions as suggested, making a hearty sandwich or main dish. The combination provides a flavorful meal with contrasting textures and the familiar, well-loved teriyaki flavor profile.
