Ground Beef Lettuce Wraps

Ground Beef Lettuce Wraps feature seasoned browned ground beef pressed into flatbreads and cooked to a crispy finish, topped with melted cheese, ketchup, fresh lettuce, sliced tomatoes, jalapeños, and fried onions. The wraps combine savory meat, creamy cheese, tangy ketchup, and crunchy fresh vegetables rolled inside a flatbread, offering a flavorful handheld meal that can be customized with preferred sauces or substitutions.

Description

This recipe involves seasoning ground beef with salt, black pepper, and paprika before dividing it and spreading evenly over flatbread surfaces. The meat side is cooked down in a well-heated skillet over medium heat to develop a browned crust. Once removed from heat, grated cheese is sprinkled atop the warm meat to melt, then layers of ketchup, shredded iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, thinly sliced jalapeños, and crispy fried onions are added for texture, moisture, and flavor contrast.

The filled flatbreads are then rolled into wraps that provide a balanced mix of spicy, savory, fresh, and creamy elements. While ground beef is the main protein, the recipe notes it can be made with chicken, and additional sauces may be added to taste for further customization.
