Ground Middle Eastern Beef Bowl

This Ground Middle Eastern Beef Bowl uses a collection of warm spices like coriander, cumin, cinnamon, and allspice to season browned ground beef. Onions and garlic provide savory base notes, while the slow reduction of spiced water ensures an evenly coated, fragrant filling. Typically served over rice, it delivers a bold and aromatic flavor profile suited for a wholesome main dish.

Description

Ground beef is cooked alongside diced onions and minced garlic until browned and crumbly. A spice blend including coriander, cumin, cinnamon, allspice, cayenne, dried mint (optional), and ginger is mixed into a small amount of water and added to the beef after draining excess fat. The mixture cooks until the water evaporates, allowing the spices to infuse the meat evenly.

The resulting texture is moist but not greasy, integrating the warm, earthy, and slightly sweet notes from the aromatic spices. This dish highlights the use of traditional Middle Eastern spices to elevate simple ground beef into a distinctive flavor experience.

It is served over rice, which complements the richly spiced meat, making it a practical choice for a filling meal without complex preparation. The recipe focuses solely on the savory meat mix, leaving side dishes open to preference.
