Guacamole

Guacamole is a chunky, fresh avocado dip blended with lime juice, diced grape tomatoes, red onion, minced jalapeño, fresh cilantro, garlic, and salt. The combination yields a creamy texture with bright, zesty, and mildly spicy flavors. It’s a versatile accompaniment for raw vegetables, tortilla chips, or as a topping.

Description

This guacamole starts by halving ripe avocados, removing their pits, and scooping the creamy flesh into a bowl. The other ingredients—diced grape tomatoes, chopped red onion, minced jalapeño, fresh chopped cilantro, and minced fresh garlic—are added to the avocado. Lime juice and salt provide acidity and seasoning to balance the richness and bring out fresh flavors.

The mixture is stirred together with a fork to combine while retaining some chunkiness, not fully puréed. This texture provides both smoothness and bits of fresh vegetables and herbs for added interest and contrast.

Guacamole pairs well with assorted raw vegetables or tortilla chips, serving as a fresh, flavorful dip or condiment. Adjust seasoning with additional salt or lime juice as desired. The recipe is straightforward and relies on fresh ingredients to deliver its characteristic creamy yet vibrant taste.
