Guava Mojito

These Guava Mojitos are so refreshing and easy to make. Made with white rum, lime juice, fresh mint, guava nectar and simple syrup, this guava cocktail sings of tropical flavors! Just a sip will help you escape to a tropical paradise.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 5 ounces of white rum
  • 2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 cup guava nectar
  • 2 tablespoons of simple syrup
  • 2 full bunches of fresh mint 20-30 leaves for the drink, the rest for topping
  • 2-3 cups crushed ice
  • a splash of club soda optional for topping at the end

Instructions

  1. In a large cocktail glass, mix in the lime juice, rum and simple syrup.
  2. Next, separate about 20 to 30 mint leaves from the bunch of mint and gently rub them between your hands to release the mint's oils. You may gently squeeze or break the leaves gently with your fingers, as well. Do not muddle the mint because it could yield a bitter end result.
  3. Add the mint leaves to the cocktail cup and stir gently.
  4. Pour equal amounts of mixture into two highball glasses, including the leaves. Use your spoon to make sure you have an even amount of mint leaves in each cup, as well.
  5. Then fill the glasses about halfway to 3/4 of the way with crushed ice.
  6. Pour the guava nectar into both glasses and top with more crushed ice all the way to the top. If desired, top with a little club soda or extra guava nectar.
  7. Split the rest of the mint into 2 bunches and agitate it with your hands, similar to what you did earlier, to release the oils.
  8. Place each bunch into each glass as garnish and serve with a straw!
