Halloween Deviled Eggs

These Halloween Deviled eggs are the perfect appetizer for your Halloween party. Not only are they adorable, they are absolutely delicious and will be a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

  • 18 extra-large egg
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp sour cream
  • 1-2 tsp Dijon mustard to taste
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • olives for decorating, pimento-stuffed
  • black olives for decorating

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to the boil.
  2. Add the eggs with a slotted spoon and allow to boil for 12 minutes.
  3. Drain the eggs and run under cold water to cool down.
  4. Carefully peel the eggs then halve each egg and with a teaspoon, scoop the yolk out.
  5. Add the yolks to a mixing bowl then add the mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Blend with an immersion blender until smooth.
  6. Transfer the deviled egg filling to a piping bag fitted with a piping nozzle then fill each egg half with filling.
  7. To decorate, slice the pimento-stuffed olives into thin slices for monster eyes. Slice the black olives in half to form a body for the spider. For the legs, slice an olive half into strips then carefully add to the eggs.
  8. Place the deviled eggs on a serving platter and serve.
