Ham and Bean Soup Recipe
Description
This soup starts by simmering northern beans with chicken broth, water, chopped carrots, onion powder, garlic, and mustard powder to develop a flavorful base. Adding chopped ham during the final simmer infuses the broth with smoky, meaty notes. The beans provide a creamy texture, while carrots add slight sweetness and body to the dish.
Seasoned with kosher salt and finished with freshly chopped parsley, the soup offers a mild, balanced flavor profile. Ground white pepper adds gentle warmth without overpowering the other ingredients. This soup is suitable as a filling meal or starter and can be served with crusty bread or a side salad.
