Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

Ham and Cheese Pinwheels use ready-rolled puff pastry layered with slices of gouda cheese and deli ham, rolled tightly, sliced into rounds, brushed with parsley butter, then baked until golden and crispy. The result is a flaky, savory snack with a rich buttery flavor complemented by mild ham and melty cheese.

Description

This recipe begins by rolling out a sheet of puff pastry as a base. Layers of deli ham and gouda cheese are evenly arranged on top before the pastry is rolled lengthwise into a log. The log is then sliced into approximately 15 pinwheels. Brushing the pinwheels with melted butter mixed with chopped parsley adds flavor and promotes browning.

Once baked at 200°C (390°F) for about 20 minutes, the pinwheels develop a crisp, golden exterior with tender, melted cheese and ham inside. The flaky texture of puff pastry enhances the snack’s appeal, making it well-suited for parties or as appetizers.

Leftover ham or substitutions like turkey or chicken slices can be used as alternatives, provided they are sliced thinly for easy rolling.

  • 8 lices gouda cheese
  • 8 lices ham deli
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped

  3. Roll into a big sausage lenghtwise, then cut into 15 pinwheels
