Ham and Pickle Roll Ups
Description
This recipe begins with deli ham slices laid flat and patted dry. A layer of cream cheese is evenly spread over the ham, which is then rolled around a dill pickle spear. The roll is sliced crosswise into half-to-one-inch pieces suitable for serving. Toothpicks can be used to secure the roll-ups if needed. The cream cheese adds smoothness and moisture, the ham contributes a salty, meaty flavor, and the pickles supply a crunchy, tart contrast.
These roll-ups serve well as party appetizers or snacks, easy to assemble and customize with thickness preferences of ham or pickle quantity. They require no cooking and can be assembled quickly for last-minute serving. They pair well with other finger foods or cold cuts on appetizer platters.
