Description
This Ham Salad combines diced cooked ham processed finely in a food processor, then mixed with celery, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, sweet relish, and black pepper. The mixture is refrigerated for a minimum of two hours to develop flavor and set the texture.
The result is a creamy and slightly tangy spread with crisp bites from celery and sweetness from the relish. The salad can be served cold on bread as a sandwich filling or alongside crackers as an appetizer.
Leftover ham salad should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consumed within five days to maintain freshness and safety.
Ingredients
- 3 cups ham diced, cooked
- 1 cup celery finely diced
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 Tablespoons sweet relish
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place the ham in a food processor and gently pulse until the ham is diced into small pieces but not a paste.
- Then place the ham in a large mixing bowl. Stir in all the remaining ingredients.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least for 2 hours before serving.
