Hamburger Soup

Hamburger Soup combines ground beef, onion, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and mixed frozen vegetables in a savory beef broth seasoned with Italian herbs. The result is a hearty and warming soup with tender beef and a medley of vegetable flavors, suitable for a filling meal especially on cooler days.

Description

This Hamburger Soup features browned ground beef cooked with chopped onion seasoned with kosher salt and coarse black pepper. It is then simmered with tomato sauce, undrained diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning to build a rich, flavorful base. Adding frozen mixed vegetables like peas, corn, carrots, and green beans towards the end keeps them tender but not mushy.

The soup delivers a comforting balance of meaty depth, tomato tang, and vegetable sweetness. Simmering uncovered for 20 minutes allows flavors to meld before the vegetables finish cooking. The texture includes small browned beef chunks and soft cooked vegetables in a mildly thick broth.

This dish is an easy-to-make one-pot meal that provides a warm, nutritious option for lunch or dinner. It pairs well with crusty bread or a simple side salad for a complete meal.
