Harissa Pasta With Oranges

This recipe features pasta tossed with a fragrant sauce of olive oil, scallions, and mild harissa paste, topped with toasted pine nuts and fresh orange slices. The combination provides a balance of spicy and citrus flavors with a nutty crunch, offering an uncommon twist on pasta dishes with bright and aromatic ingredients.

Description

Harissa Pasta With Oranges blends cooked pasta with sautéed scallions and mild harissa paste in olive oil, allowing the spicy North African chili paste to gently coat the noodles. The pasta is cooked according to package instructions and kept warm before being incorporated with the harissa mixture, ensuring the flavors meld without overcooking the pasta.

The dish balances the mild heat and smoky spice of harissa with the sweetness and acidity of fresh orange slices served alongside or over the pasta. Toasted pine nuts on top add texture and a delicate nutty flavor, contributing to the overall complexity. The scallions add a mild oniony freshness when cooked briefly in olive oil.

Harissa Pasta With Oranges can be served as a light main course or an interesting side dish. The citrus wedges allow diners to adjust the acidity and brightness as desired. The recipe’s simplicity lets the unique ingredients shine, making it suitable for those wanting to explore spiced pasta with a fresh twist.
