Hawaiian Ham and Cheese Sliders
Description
This recipe begins by preparing a 'Magical Mayo Sauce' made from mayonnaise blended with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. The Hawaiian rolls are sliced in half horizontally and spread with this sauce on the bottom half. Swiss cheese slices and thinly sliced ham are layered over the sauce, followed by another layer of Swiss cheese before topping with the remaining half of the rolls.
A separate butter sauce composed of melted butter, poppy seeds, Dijon mustard, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce is whisked together and drizzled evenly over the slider tops. The pan is then loosely covered with foil and baked at 350°F until the cheese thoroughly melts and the tops are glossy with the seasoned butter.
The result is a soft bread sandwich enriched by the creamy mayo, savory ham, nutty Swiss cheese, and the buttery, slightly tangy sauce on top. These sliders serve well warm as appetizers, party food, or an easy meal. The recipe yields a dozen slider sandwiches making it suitable for larger groups.
