Hawaiian Ham Sliders

Report
Hawaiian Ham Sliders combine deli ham, sliced cheese, and pineapple slices layered in soft Hawaiian buns. The sandwiches are topped with a melted butter mixture seasoned with garlic and Worcestershire sauce, then baked until the cheese melts and the tops crisp slightly. The sweet and savory combination and warm, soft texture make these sliders suitable for casual gatherings or family meals.

Description

Hawaiian Ham Sliders feature layers of sliced deli ham, cheese, and pineapple on sweet Hawaiian buns. The buns are first sliced as whole sheets and assembled in a baking dish. A garlic and Worcestershire sauce butter is poured over the assembled sliders, adding richness and flavor throughout. Baking under foil melts the cheese and melds the flavors, while a brief uncovered finish crisps the tops. This method ensures warm, tender sliders with a balance of sweet and savory tastes from the pineapple and ham.

These sliders can be served as an appetizer, snack, or part of a meal. The combination of pineapple and ham adds a touch of sweetness and moisture that complements the melted cheese. They are convenient for feeding a group and prepare well in advance before baking.

Using Hawaiian buns is key to achieving the characteristic soft and slightly sweet base. Allowing the butter mixture to soak into the bread before baking enhances flavor penetration. Adjust baking time to crisp the tops to preference and watch carefully near the end to avoid burning.
