Hawaiian Sliders
Description
The recipe assembles 12 sliders by slicing Hawaiian sweet rolls in half and layering thinly sliced ham and Swiss cheese between the halves. A topping made from melted butter mixed with Worcestershire sauce, dried minced onion, ground mustard, and poppy seeds is spooned over the sandwich tops. The sliders are covered tightly and refrigerated for a minimum of 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and the buns to soften slightly.
When baked at 350°F for 25 minutes covered, the cheese melts and the topping forms a flavorful glaze on the buns. The result is small, tender sandwiches with a combination of savory ham, creamy melted cheese, and a lightly spiced buttery topping, balanced by the sweetness of the King’s Hawaiian rolls.
These sliders are commonly served warm as appetizers or casual meals, allowing easy portion control and shareable servings.
For those sensitive to onion chunks, substituting minced dried onion with onion powder can reduce texture without losing onion flavor.

- To accommodate onion preferences, minced dried onion can be replaced with onion powder for a smoother topping texture.
