Healthy Breakfast Peach Crisp

Healthy Breakfast Peach Crisp combines fresh sliced peaches with a crunchy topping made from oats, hemp hearts, ground flax seed, brown sugar, and cinnamon. The butter blends into the oat mixture to create a golden crust when baked. Baked in a single pan, this crisp has a warm, bubbly texture and balances fruity sweetness with a wholesome oat topping. It's a comforting yet nutritious way to start the day.

Description

This recipe layers fresh peeled and sliced peaches at the bottom of an 8x8 pan, topped with a mix of oats, hemp hearts, ground flax seed, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Salted butter is cut into the dry mixture to distribute fat evenly, producing a crumbly topping. Baking at 350°F for 25-30 minutes allows the peaches to soften and release juices, which bubble beneath the toasty oat topping.

The resulting crisp offers tender, juicy fruit beneath a golden, slightly crunchy oat and seed crust. The combined hemp hearts and flax seed add texture and subtle nutty notes, enhancing the wholesome character. The cinnamon lends warmth that complements the peaches' natural sweetness.

This crisp is best served warm, making it suitable as a nourishing breakfast treat or a light dessert. Its balanced sweetness and fiber-rich topping support a filling but not overly rich dish. No special preparation beyond slicing peaches and mixing the topping is required.
