Healthy Trail Mix
Description
Healthy Trail Mix provides convenient snack options by combining various nuts like almonds, pecans, walnuts, peanuts, cashews, and pepitas with dried fruits such as cherries, raisins, and cranberries. Chocolate chips and candy-coated chocolates add sweetness and richness to balance the nutrient-dense nuts and tart dried fruits.
The three different mixes vary in ingredients and ratios to cater to different tastes or nutritional focuses. The Omega Mix includes a blend focused on nuts and dried cherries, the Monster Mix features peanuts with candy-coated chocolates, and the Popcorn Trail Mix adds popcorn with cashews and almonds for a lighter crunch.
The instruction is simply to mix the ingredients together for immediate enjoyment. Storage recommendations vary; the nut-heavy mixes keep well for 1-2 weeks in sealed containers, while the popcorn mix should be eaten within 1-2 days to maintain crispness.
