Herb Salad with Optional Edible Flowers
Description
The dressing combines olive oil and balsamic vinegar with ground ginger, dried minced onion, honey (or maple syrup), salt, and black pepper, blended to emulsion. Poppy seeds are stirred in last to add subtle texture and mild nutty flavor. Finely chopped fresh herbs are then mixed with spring mix lettuce, creating layers of fresh and aromatic green flavors.
Edible flowers are an optional addition, scattered atop the tossed salad for a colorful, delicate presentation. The salad can be served as a refreshing accompaniment to main dishes, offering a balance of bright acidity, gentle sweetness, and herbal notes.
The recipe provides simple steps maintaining the freshness and vibrancy of all components, with the dressing’s mild spice and sweetness making it versatile for various seasons and menus.
