High Protein Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich (Panera Copycat!)
Description
The sandwich assembly starts with the Bravo sauce, a blend of light mayonnaise, ketchup, honey for sweetness, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sriracha for heat, yellow mustard, and Worcestershire sauce for depth. This sauce lends a creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy flavor base.
The bread choice is flexible; here it’s handcrafted roasted tomato focaccia flatbread, but any sandwich bread works. The sandwich fills include roasted turkey deli meat for lean protein, gouda cheese adding mild creaminess, center-cut bacon for smoky savory notes, and fresh slices of tomato and romaine lettuce (or butter lettuce) to provide freshness and crunch.
The sandwich can be eaten cold or warmed in a panini press for melted cheese and warm fillings. The recipe includes suggestions for gluten-free or dairy-free adaptations by substituting bread or cheese accordingly. It makes a balanced, flavorful handheld meal option.
