Holiday Cranberry Salsa

Holiday Cranberry Salsa combines fresh cranberries, cilantro, pomegranate arils, pineapple, and yellow onion for a vibrant, sweet-tart salsa. The mixture is lightly pulsed in a food processor for a chunky texture and seasoned with orange juice, salt, black pepper, and optional jalapeño for a touch of heat. Served chilled, it pairs well with tortilla chips.

Description

This salsa blends tart cranberries and sweet pineapple with the bright flavors of fresh cilantro and the crisp bite of yellow onion. Pomegranate arils add jewel-like bursts of sweetness and texture, while orange juice provides citrus acidity that balances the tartness. A chopped jalapeño can be included for subtle spiciness. Instead of fully pureeing, the ingredients are pulsed to achieve a chunky consistency that holds together well for scooping.

The salsa is chilled before serving, allowing the flavors to meld and intensify. The cold, refreshing combination of tart and sweet makes it a festive accompaniment, particularly suitable for holiday gatherings or as a colorful topping for tortilla chips. The mixture’s blend of textures ranges from crunchy cranberries to juicy arils and soft pineapple chunks.
